Plot

Jung-In (Lim Soo-Jung) & Doo-Hyun (Lee Sun-Kyun) meet in Nagoya, Japan during an earthquake. Love quickly blossoms between the couple.

Seven years later, Jung-In and Doo-Hyun are a married couple. Jung-In is still an attractive woman, stylish and cooks with passion, but Doo-Hyun is miserable. He hates his wife's constant nagging and negative nature. He becomes so despondent that he contemplates asking for a divorce, but he is too meek to ask for the divorce. Su-Mi awakens after a nightmare to find that Su-Yeong has begun her period, as has her stepmother, on the very same day. The girls look at some old photos, which reveal that Eun-Joo was a doctor and a coworker of their father. Su-Mi sees bruises on Su-Yeong’s arms and accuses Eun-Joo.

At dinner with guests — Sun-Kyu (Eun-Joo’s brother) and his wife — Eun-Joo acts strangely. During dinner, Sun-Kyu’s wife begins to choke and convulse on the floor.

Eun-Joo insists that strange events have become frequent since Su-Mi and Su-Yeong returned. Her pet bird is slain and found in Su-Yeong’s bed. In a rage she locks Su-Yeong in the wardrobe, and after Su-Yeong is freed the father asks Su-Mi why she is making trouble. 3-Iron (or Bin-jip meaning Empty Houses in Korean) is a 2004 Korean film directed by Kim Ki-duk. The plot revolves around the relationship between a young drifter and a battered housewife. The film is notable for the lack of dialogue between its two main characters.
The film stars Jae Hee as Tae-suk, a loner who drives around on his motorbike delivering takeout menus, which he tapes over peoples’ front-door keyholes. He later returns to break into the apartments that haven’t removed the menus, presuming them to be empty. He lives in each flat while the owners are away, even washing their clothes and mending broken appliances for them. When he breaks into a large home, he is unaware that he is being watched by battered housewife Sun-hwa (played by Lee Seung-yeon). Tae-suk leaves after he makes eye contact with Sun-wha but returns after silently contemplating on the roadside. He witnesses Sunwha’s husband abusing her and proceeds to catch his attention by practicing golf in the yard. He hits Sunwha’s husband with golf balls and Tae-suk and Sunwha leave together. The couple begin a silent relationship, and the two begin moving from one flat to another. At one home they are caught sleeping in bed after drinking alcohol, wearing the pajamas of the apartment’s resident.

Jin-tae and his mother are tough workers, who sacrifice themselves to send Jin-seok to the university. When North Korea invades the South, the family escapes to a relative’s house in the country, but along their journey, Jin-seok is forced to join the army to fight in the front, and Jin-tae enlists too to protect his young brother. The commander promises Jin-tae that if he gets a medal he would release his brother, and Jin-tae becomes the braver soldier in the company. Along the bloody war between brothers, the relationship of Jin-seok with his older brother deteriorates leading to a dramatic and tragic end.

Synopsis: 
“The Classic” begins with college student Ji-hae (Son Ye-jin) cleaning house and stumbling across a box containing an old diary and some love letters belonging to her mother. Though some of the letters are from her late father, Ji-hae’s interest is piqued when she sees some letters written by a man named Joon-ha (Jo Seung-woo). The then jumps back about four decades to detail the love triangle that between Ji-hae’s mother Joo-hee (also played by Son Ye-Jin), her future father Tae-su (Lee Ki-woo), and Tae-su’s best friend Joon-ha. Though Joo-hee fell in love with Joon-ha after a chance meeting in the countryside, she was already betrothed to Tae-su in an arranged marriage.

Meanwhile, in the present, Ji-hae has some romantic entanglements of her own to out. She is in love with Sang-min (Jo In-seong), the boyfriend of her narcissistic best friend Soo-kyeong (Lee Sang-in), yet finds herself unable to express her true feelings. As the story moves from past to present and back again, parallels are drawn between the heartbreak, lessons learned, and travails of mother and daughter, whose destinies are inextricably intertwined.
