Synopsis:
In colonial era Seoul, 1938, two young men have had a strong sense of rivalry since they were young. Joon-sik (Jang Dong-gun) is a Korean man who dreams of following in the footsteps of Olympic marathon gold medal winner Sohn Kee-chung. Synopsis:
A girl, Su-Mi, is brought to a psychiatrist. She is unresponsive until shown a picture of her family. She is taken home by her father (Moo-Hyeon) along with her timid sister, Su-Yeong, where they are met by their difficult stepmother (Eun-Joo).

That night Su-Yeong awakes to find somebody in her room and she flees to her sister. Su-Mi promises Su-Yeong that she will always be there for her, and they fall asleep.

Su-Mi awakens after a nightmare to find that Su-Yeong has begun her period, as has her stepmother, on the very same day. The girls look at some old photos, which reveal that Eun-Joo was a doctor and a coworker of their father. Su-Mi sees bruises on Su-Yeong’s arms and accuses Eun-Joo.

At dinner with guests — Sun-Kyu (Eun-Joo’s brother) and his wife — Eun-Joo acts strangely. During dinner, Sun-Kyu’s wife begins to choke and convulse on the floor.

Eun-Joo insists that strange events have become frequent since Su-Mi and Su-Yeong returned. Her pet bird is slain and found in Su-Yeong’s bed. In a rage she locks Su-Yeong in the wardrobe, and after Su-Yeong is freed the father asks Su-Mi why she is making trouble. She insists that the stepmother harasses Su-Yeong, locking her in the closet, her father informs her that Su-Yeong is dead, and that she is not getting better. Su-Mi wakes to find her sister missing and believes she sees her stepmother dragging around a bloody bag through the corridors of the house, and beating it. Su-Mi runs to the kitchen to get a knife to free her sister, but Eun-Joo attempts to stop her by splashing boiling water from the kettle onto her. A fight ensues and Su-Mi is rendered unconscious

3-Iron (or Bin-jip meaning Empty Houses in Korean) is a 2004 Korean film directed by Kim Ki-duk. The plot revolves around the relationship between a young drifter and a battered housewife. The film is notable for the lack of dialogue between its two main characters.
The film stars Jae Hee as Tae-suk, a loner who drives around on his motorbike delivering takeout menus, which he tapes over peoples’ front-door keyholes. He later returns to break into the apartments that haven’t removed the menus, presuming them to be empty. He lives in each flat while the owners are away, even washing their clothes and mending broken appliances for them. When he breaks into a large home, he is unaware that he is being watched by battered housewife Sun-hwa (played by Lee Seung-yeon). Tae-suk leaves after he makes eye contact with Sun-wha but returns after silently contemplating on the roadside. He witnesses Sunwha’s husband abusing her and proceeds to catch his attention by practicing golf in the yard. He hits Sunwha’s husband with golf balls and Tae-suk and Sunwha leave together. The couple begin a silent relationship, and the two begin moving from one flat to another. At one home they are caught sleeping in bed after drinking alcohol, wearing the pajamas of the apartment’s resident.

1986 Gyunggi Province. The body of a young woman is found brutally raped and murdered. Two months later, a series of rapes and murders commences under similar circumstances. And in a country that had never known such crimes, the dark whispers about a serial murderer grow louder.

A special task force is set up in the area, with two local detectives Park Doo-Man (Song Kang-Ho) and Jo Young-Goo (Kim Roi-ha) joined by a detective from Seoul who requested to be assigned to the case, Seo Tae-Yoon (Kim Sang-kyeong). Park personifies the policeman who goes with his instincts and his fists, bloodily challenging every small-time crook in the area to confess. In contrast, Seo pores over evidentiary documents related to the case and inevitably the clash of styles leads to tense rivalry.

From the fact that not a single hair is ever found at the scene, Park takes off to search the area’s temples and public baths for people with follicular disease, while Seo finds a pattern in the evidence of women wearing red on a rainy day as the victim’s profile. On a rainy day, the detectives set up a trap in order to forestall another murder. The next day however, yet another woman is found murdered – with an umbrella speared through her pubis. The solution to the murders grows fainter and drives the detectives to ever greater despair.
