The unborn child - thai movie english subtitle

Let’s get one thing straight: Director Poj Arnon’s 2011 supernatural thriller “The Unborn Child” (aka “2002 Unborn Children”) is more of a “scare film” that it is an actual horror movie. Don’t get me wrong — the idea of Thai teenagers having to undergo illegal abortions is horrifying, but don’t try to hide your agenda inside a genre flick. It reminds me of those American drug films from the 40′s and 50′s, those cheap, low-budget exploitation efforts that attempted to pass along a message whilst wallowing freely in unchecked debauchery. Chop roughly 40 minutes out of the picture and you’d have something you could show to high school students in health class, complete with a tidy little message about safe sex tacked on for good measure. Considering the slug-like pacing and the dozen or so moments where absolutely nothing is happening, viewers probably wouldn’t miss a single thing.

Lovers of Six Years

Plot

Da-Jin (Kim Ha-Neul) and Jae-Young (Yoon Kye-Sang) have been in an all too comfortable relationship for the past six years. Although they don't live together, their apartments reside side by side.

Da-Jin works as an editor at publishing company and Jae-Young works as a producer for a home shopping network. Trouble brews for the couple when Da-jin recruits illustrator Jin-Seong (Shin Sung-Rok) for her next project. During the process, Jin-Seong begins to take an interest in Da-Jin romantically. Meanwhile, Jae-Young meets a young part-time worker in the elevator at the television station. The young woman already knows his name and seems to want to know more. Can Da-Jin and Jae-Young's relationship survive these outside temptations?

Plot

Mi-Soo (Han Hyo-Joo) is a doctor with a fiery spirit. Unfortunately, her fiery spirit gets the best of her one day at work. Mi-Soo fails to properly diagnosis an ill woman, after she sees the ill woman's husband, whom she assumes to be an abusive thug. Because of Mi-Soo's failure to diagnose the woman's illness, the woman is now hospitalized and near death. Her husband sues the hospital and Mi-Soo is advised to find a character witness.

Kang-Il (Ko Soo) is a dedicated firefighter, who doesn't blink when it comes to saving someone else's life. Emotionally, Kang-Il still carries heavy grief over the death of his own wife. Outside of work, Kang-Il rarely socializes with others. Firefighter Kang-Il was also at the hospital when the wife, who was misdiagnosed by Mi-Soo, became gravely ill. His boss ordered Kang-Il to follow the husband and to make sure he doesn't do anything rash. The husband eventually confronts Kang-Il and assaults him.

Later, Mi-Soo learns of the incident between firefighter Kang-Il and the husband. She concocts a plan to cozy up to the firefighter, in hopes of enlisting him in her legal defense. Little does she know, she isn't dealing with an ordinary fellow and she just may have found her true love.

The King and the Clown

Plot

At the height of the 16th-century Chosun Dynasty, a pair of rural male actors—boisterous, macho Jang-seng and quiet, feminine Gong-gil—travel to Seoul and team up with a struggling acting troupe. When their irreverent show—complete with enough bawdy humor and gender-bending to make a contemporary audience blush—mocks the famously hedonistic king, they get more than they bargained for. After being promptly arrested, they’re given a chance to spare themselves if they can make the king laugh. Blind - Korean Movie

Plot

A missing person case involving a female university student and the victim in a hit and run case appears to be related. Detectives look for a witness.

Into the police office walks Min Soo-Ah (Kim Ha-Neul). She used to be a promising cadet at the police academy, but after a horrific car accident which killed her brother, Soo-Ah's police career ended. Min Soo-Ah also lost her eyesight in the car accident. Min Soo-Ah reveals to Detective Jo (Jo Hee-Bong) at the police station that on the night of the hit and run case she was picked up by a taxi cab driver. Soo-Ah believes the taxi driver may be the perpetrator of the crimes. Initially, Detective Jo doesn't take Soo-Ah's claims seriously because she is blind, but when Soo-Ah displays her acute senses the detective starts to believe her.

Detective Jo and Min Soo-Ah then work together to find the taxi cab driver, but all their leads turn up empty. Then another witness comes forward Kwon Ki-Sub (Yoo Seung-Ho). Kwon Ki-Sub is a motorcycle delivery boy who claims to have also witness the hit and run incident. Kwon Ki-Sub also emphatically states that the car in question was not a taxi cab, but rather an imported sedan.

Meanwhile, Min Soo-Ah finds herself being stalked by a mysterious man ...

Plot

Hee-Soo (Kim Sun-Young) is a popular songwriter with numerous hits, but she is going through a dry spell. She wonders if she lost her inspiration, because she is lonely. Hee-Soo then meets a boy (Byun Joon-Suk) in the elevator of an apartment building. She notices his stares. Hee-Soo feels a new song coming about.

On the pretext of giving the boy music lessons, Hee-Soo gives the boy a lesson in love. As time passes, the boy falls for her more and more and Hee-Soo's song is almost completed. At this time, Joon-Ho, who taught her about love and music, returns.

A Man who was Superman

Plot

Song Soo-Jung (Gianna Jun) produces human interest TV documentaries for a small company. She is also sick of her job and the need to always dramatize the stories for maximum effect. Soo-Jung then decides to take her company's expensive video camera and to shoot a documentary on an African Lion that refuses to eat. Suddenly the shooting for the documentary is canceled, but, making things infinitely worse for Soo-Jung, someone snatches the video camera right from her hands. At the same time, a man (Hwang Jung-Min) in a Hawaiian shirt comes out of the blue and retrieves the stolen camera for Song Soo-Jung. The man tells Song Soo-Jung that he is Superman, but powerless now because of kryptonite placed in his head by an evil villain.

Even though the man doesn't have his super powers, he spends his time performing good deeds like retrieving lost dogs, reprimanding naked men standing in public and doing hand stands to push the sun away from the earth. Song Soo-Jung can tell immediately that the man is quite a character and would make for a great documentary. She then proceeds to film the documentary “Protect the Earth, Superman.” As she uses Superman for her own personal gains, Song Soo-Jung soon learns more about the odd man and what she learns will change their lives forever.
